MIND
- MIND -
Lets start straight off with mr google on this one, wikipedia says the mind is:
'The mind is the set of cognitive faculties including consciousness, imagination, perception, thinking, judgement, language and memory, which is housed in the brain (sometimes including the central nervous system). It is usually defined as the faculty of an entity's thoughts and consciousness.
It holds the power of imagination, recognition, and appreciation, and is responsible for processing feelings and emotions, resulting in attitudes and actions.
There is a lengthy tradition in philosophy, religion, psychology, and cognitive science about what constitutes a mind and what are its distinguishing properties.'
My word! How amazing is the MIND.
We often hear the phrase 'monkey mind', the never ending reel of thoughts that take over the brain and sometimes our whole being.
How do we know whether the thoughts are intuition or the monkey mind/ego?
How do you know what are pure thoughts or visions coming from your soul or are they thoughts you've picked up form someone or somewhere else?
Where do your thoughts actually come from?
Can you empty your unwanted thoughts forever?
Can you control your thoughts?
What power do your thoughts have?
Do your thoughts directly link to your emotions and then to actions?
So many questions and all of them are worth asking and delving into. This is what Aaron loves. The MIND.
For years now Aaron has analysed his mind every day, if not every moment, why it's thinking what it is thinking.
This is his passion, he loves it, the power of the mind.
Our thoughts are intangible to start with, but with repetitive thinking what you think becomes a reality, thoughts in one way or another soon become tangible. Think about that for a moment. Have you ever kept thinking you need to ring someone and then they ring you? Lets talk about thoughts and how to play around with them in a fun way:
Have you ever used affirmations as a way to change your reality? I went through a stage over a decade ago when I first read "The Secret' and would say consistently in my head 'I am a Goddess'. I had affirmations and pictures stuck all over the mirror. You've probably heard this method all before in one way or another im sure, but I can tell you it worked, my body transformed, I felt like my eyes were lit with brightness, my posture changed, and most of all my self belief and thoughts about myself transformed.
Ive also been on the flip side of this where Ive been in a really toxic situation and how my mind had a massive reel of its own going, and I found it really hard for it to stop. I had to dive deep into my toolbelt, call on my tribe to help me get out of this self destructive consistent state of mind.
What is it that you would like? Try it out.. Start with 'I am... ' and then fill the gap. Try and say this over 100 times a day. Does this sound like 'work'? Well, lets break this down...
Thats 10 times an hour in a 10 hour awake day, each time you say your affirmation takes one second so thats 10 seconds an hour or 100 seconds a day, so thats not even two minutes a day to completely transform a thought pattern?
So say for example you have a repetitive thought train saying 'Im hopeless' 'Im ugly' "I look so old' 'Im fat' 'I am poor' etc etc all those types of thoughts. We all have them don't worry... so lets flick them around to, 'I am confident' 'I am beautiful' 'I am aging with grace' 'I am gorgeous' 'I am abundant'
Just give it a try, each day, 100 times a day, with just one thought to start that is a repetitive thought in your thought train, try this for a month. And see where it takes you... remember its only 2 minutes a day.
